Conservation at Hillview Water Company

With California facing one of the most severe droughts on record, Governor Brown declared a drought State of Emergency in January 2014. Since that time, the Governor has issued four additional Executive Orders directing actions regarding water shortages. His most recent Executive Order regarding water conservation (B-37-16 issued May 9, 2016) requires continued water conservation due to the ongoing drought conditions in California but allows water companies to make adjustments based on the differing water supply conditions throughout the state. In compliance with these requirements, Hillview Water has implemented the following water conservation measures:

The California Public Utilities Commission wants to remind you that if you do any digging in your yard, whether it is to remove thirsty turf, trees and other landscaping, or to plant drought-tolerant plants, you must “Call 811 before you dig.”
